He has applied modeling techniques for various hydraulic structures design analysis and environmental assessment studies. Prior to joining CHI in 2017, Hailiang was a water resources modeling specialist with GHD. Hailiang is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario with over 8 years of experience and has expertise in modeling for various applications. #RAIN MODULE PCSWMM FULL#
You will receive full workshop details prior to the workshop. During this course you will have an opportunity to learn from a live instructor during scheduled live sessions. PCSWMM will be used throughout the workshop to speed learning and program execution, and to enhance the understanding of the underlying EPA SWMM5 LID processes. Participants will develop the necessary skill and confidence to explore and apply the official EPA SWMM5 hydrology/hydraulics engine effectively in a LID modeling capacity.
#RAIN MODULE PCSWMM HOW TO#
The workshop will also discuss possible ways of modeling LIDs that are not included in the SWMM5 LID module and how to use other tools, such as Python scripting and control rules, to set up LIDs in a model. Learn about the theory behind the eight types of LIDs in the SWMM5 LID module, how to implement LIDs in a model, and how to analyze the model results. This workshop provides an in-depth look at green infrastructure (LID) modeling capabilities in EPA SWMM5/PCSWMM. Modeling LIDs provides insight into the processes within a proposed LID, allowing for design optimization and “what-if” comparisons.

LIDs are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to "end of pipe" solutions and an integral part of new development designs and retrofits. Low Impact Development (LID) is a term used to describe green infrastructure designed to intercept, store and/or infiltrate precipitation before it reaches the conveyance system.
